This is my knit egg pattern, Elegant Eggs, which is available as a free Ravelry download. It’s worked in the round using either magic loop or a set of 5 dpns. It uses Emily Ocker’s Cast On, so you’ll need a crochet hook as well. For worsted weight, I suggest you use anywhere from a US size 4 (3.5mm) to a US size 6 (4.0mm) needle. It can also be worked in fingering weight for smaller eggs using a US size 1 (2.25mm) or a US size 2 (2.75mm). You can really use any yarn you’d like for the project, just pick a needle about 2 sizes smaller than what’s recommended on the ball band. The pictured egg was worked using a US size 6 (4.0mm) needle and Malabrigo worsted. Be careful not to over stuff so you don’t loose the egg shape.

I love these eggs so much! Maybe I will get around to actually *making* some this year rather than just ogling yours wistfully from afar.
